((I don't know why I did this. I was suuuper bored, and I really just have been living in boredom. I've been re-reading RPs to procrastinate from homework and stuff, and I re-read like the entire site, and realized a lot of stuff. One of these things was that though Anna was sick, I never did a lot of her being sick. So I'm going back in time here, before Cery healed her. I don't expect you to reply to this or anything, or even talk to me. I don't know how many times I can apologize for being such a bitch to you last year, but I really am sorry, and I hope you'll eventually forgive me enough that we can go back and be friends again. Like we used to be.))
“Rouge, Thorn, Faye, Tobias, Sora, Shadow, Fluffy, why is no one here!” Anna yelled, her voice dripping with fake exasperation. She knew they were all there, but all fast asleep in their respected rooms. She had just left Cery’s house, him being fast asleep, but she needed to come home and change her clothes, she was dripping wet from her randomly deciding to jump in the pool at Cery’s. Her white tee shirt, which had black letters that said ‘Love Today’ was soaked, and now completely see through, showing her black bra through it. She was also wearing a very short pink plaid skirt that was now sticking to her legs. Her long dark brown hair was pulled up in a pony tail, and water from it was dripping down her back. She giggled slightly as she caught sight of herself in the mirror, her makeup running, her bright red bangs hanging in her face.
As she started towards the stairs she started coughing. Shit she thought to herself, she knew what was happening. Her airways were constricting, her heart was beating faster, and her arm started twitching. She tried to scream for help, but just a hoarse sound escaped, as if she had lost her voice, her airway was gone. She was getting dizzy and her head was killing her. Her heart started to slow. She had to get up the stairs, had to get to someone, had to get to her meds. There was medicine all over the house, but with an attack this bad she wouldn’t be able to inject herself. Anna lifted her foot with effort, attempting to get up the stairs. She kept going, one step at a time. She was almost at the top when everything started to blacken. There was no more air making its way through her body. She grabbed hold of the banister, trying not to fall, but to no avail. She plummeted down the stairs, knocking her head against the stairs as she went. The sound quickly pulled Fayeleigh and Rouge from there respected rooms and they both ran down the stairs.
“Shit, Anna!” Rouge said running over to her, starting CPR on her. Fayeleigh ran to the other side of the room grabbing a large syringe and filling it up with a thick clear liquid. She went over to Anna an injected it right where her lungs were. She then went and grabbed the phone to call an ambulance. They both knew exactly what should be happening, who should be doing what how to do everything. It would seem that this wasn’t a big deal that it happened just like this all the time, if it weren’t for the fear etched into both of their faces.
Rogue never once regretted taking his sisters, watching out for them, acting as a brother, and a father, a mother, a doctor, a chef, a teacher, an everything. He needed them just like they needed him. But it was times like this, as he feverishly gave his youngest sister CPR that he cursed his parents. How could they just leave them, ditch them completely to fend for themselves, fend for themselves and each other, fend for Anna. He couldn’t fathom how a mother could leave her children, so young, only 10, 11, and 12, for a man. Fucking men. How a twelve year old was supposed to care for two children, almost his age and one who was chronically, and fatally ill, he had no idea. But that was what had to happen. He had to protect them.
“Ambulance will be here in a minute Ro,” Fayeleigh said, panic in her voice. This was bad. Anna still hadn’t come out of her attack, and she had to have hit her head, she was bleeding from her head, but that was nothing if she didn’t start breathing again soon. Fayeleigh shook her head, she wouldn’t think about it, it was impossible, Anna couldn’t die. She was the everything they held them together. Rogue nodded his head slightly, still giving Anna CPR, pressing on her chest harder now, to help move the drugs around her. From outside he heard the sounds of the ambulance that was going to take Anna to the hospital.
Anna just barely moved, she was barely taking in any air, but she managed one small word. “Cery,” escaped her lips, the word weak and empty, just barely audible. Rogue smiled down at her, she was alive, she was breathing, and she was going to be okay. He bent down, picking her up. “Oh Anna,” he smiled, “Don’t scare us like that” he said. “Faye, get her boy, meet us at the hospital” he said carrying her out of the house and to the ambulance. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- “I refuse, you can’t make me!” Anna said her voice angry. The doctor had just left and she wasn’t happy. She was lying on a hospital bed in dry clothes they had brought to her. Clothes that didn’t fit her style at all, some little kid jeans with flower detail, which were the only pants they could find that would fit her tiny frame and an old t-shirt from some unimportant college. She had an IV in her arm, dripping some weird white substance into her body. And a bandage on her head, where she had been bleeding, but that was motly covered by her hair
“A, come on, it won’t be that bad, I promise, we don’t want something like this happening again,” Her brother said to her, brushing her still wet hair out of her face. Rogue was sitting on the bed with her, off to the side. He had gotten quite a few looks when he came in with his sister. He was wearing a long sleeve black shirt, with black jeans and a huge black trench coat. His hair was un-styled, and so it just fell into spikes all over the place. He was looking down at his sister, a look on his face that showed that he hated having to upset Anna the way that he was She had just been told that she would now be spending all of her time in her wheelchair, and wasn’t happy. Anna hated being in her wheelchair, hated it with a passion. Everyone always looked at her differently, as if she was a sick puppy, something to pity. Anna hated pity, she spent a few years pitying herself, but she was done with that. The looks people gave her, the way they spoke to her. She couldn’t stand it.
“I don’t want to make this any harder for you Ro, I mean, taking care of me isn’t easy but you know how much I hate the wheelchair. It makes me feel so dependant, like I can’t do anything for myself” the girl protested, but she knew it wasn’t going to change anything. She was in the wheelchair for good. She crossed her arms and pouted, which made Rogue smile again, it was like she was a little girl again.
“It’ll all be okay Anna-chicka” Rogue said to her, leaning over her and kissing her forehead. And he meant it. He wasn’t going to let anything like that happen again. He was going to make sure that Anna was okay all the time, and it was going to drive her crazy, but he wasn’t going to risk losing her.
“Mumble mumble,” she said but smiled. She was going to hate always being in the stupid wheelchair, but she didn’t want to worry Rogue too much right now, he was already freaking out. Her head was throbbing, she was dizzy, and she couldn’t breathe very well. They had only been at the hospital for about five minutes, but Anna was already looking around anxiously.
“Where’s Cery?” Anna asked, like a little kid.
“And Faye, and Tobias, and Thorn, and Sora, and Shadow, and Fluffy, and Anya, all those other people who love you?” Rogue said smiling at his sister “They’ll be here soon, be patient. You and that boy, gosh” he said rolling his eyes, getting up off of her hospital bed and walking over to the chair in the corner of the room. He picked up Anna’s phone, and he texted Fayeleigh quickly. He waited about 5 seconds before he got a reply as an upbeat pop song, ‘Hot ‘N Cold’ played, showing she had anew text.
“Sora is driving. Be there in 2 seconds. Already here, just have to walk to you. The whole gang is with us,” Rogue said, reading the text back to Anna. “I think that includes the precious Cery” he said teasing her. In literally two seconds there was a knock on the hospital door, and Rogue got up to answer it.
